Gone Fishin'

We saw this Great Blue Heron one evening last week at Bur-Mil Park. We were riding our bikes along the greenway when we spotted the heron along the shore with a fish in its bill. It obliged us by moving to the middle of the pond where we were able to get several photos.

Recently, Lake Brandt has been full of Great Blue Herons and Egrets. The hang out in the shallow water (from the drought) that can be seen from the Michael Weaver bridge. During the early evening, I've seen as many as 10-15 of the birds.
