Wildlife Hotline Quiz 2 See if you can answer this: The starlings are trying to make a nest in my dryer vent. How can I stop them?

A stocking over the end of the vent will stop all birds from nesting there, yet let the air flow through. Check often for lint buildup.

The stocking is a good idea, I will keep that in mind. We have a vent that has a cover on the outside. The air pressure from the dryer opens it up when drying, but gravity closes it when not in use. I wouldn't hesitate to daily remove their beginnings of a nest until they relocate.
